Need to replace an old gate valve coming off a well. Dug down and found the piping. It’s blue, flexible, secured on either side with SS clamps and the only identifying marks I see with my digging so far are “blue 5IP” or “blue 51P”. It’s 1.3” in outer diameter. I’d like to replace the gate valve with a ball valve, but would like to know what piping I’m dealing with first. I’d definitely appreciate any direction you can point me in!

Probably 1” Polyethylene of some flavor.

Try to find the SDR number on the pipe.

You could also take a piece of it with you to a plumbing or well supplier to match up.
