Tub faucet is either giving very hot can't stand in it type almost scalding water or very cold icy.

No nice warm shower. No happy medium temp.

Just had cartridges replaced as it was not fully shutting off (constant drop). That drip is now fixed, but now it won't get mix of water. Seems only max cold or hot. Any attempt adjusted in valve during use just brings shower flow down not temp.

Other bath and kitchen all fine, etc. Hot water heater at lowest setting.

do you have a single handle faucet in that bathroom??????

Single handle..
I can get cold from about 6 oclock (off) position to about 2:30-3. Then cold goes off completely and hot starts about 2:30 range. Get up to about 1 position max and no more range.

Plus just noted water coming from behind handle too when I turn it on, dripping down

Sink mixes fine. 4 sinks in home plus 1 tub all good, just this 1 tub issue. No access to lines at tub. Hot cold in right positions, just can't mix right.

I understand that but sometimes a single handle faucet will cause whats called a cross over....it can cause hot/cold issues in other fixtures...so just consetrate on those sink valves that way we can rule out your bath faucet as the culprit

Good thought then. One shutoff not working under sink so another night think I'll work on replacing that and then test this as you say.
