after replacing aeat on universal rundel 738-49741 the water comes up thru the bolt holes after flushing how do i know if i knocked something out of place when i removed the bolts to replace the seat
 
Yeah, without pics, I can see it either way, and why I offered the option if it fits.
 
Please clarify exactly what you really mean.

After you re-read the posts that show confusion about your post, mainly what bolt holes are involved.
 
If you haven't already, you have to take that seat off and inspect closely for the source of the leak.
Like possibly a void in the china that was weak and opened.

I'm assuming the bolt holes were not open to the interior of the toilet requiring sealing by the proper placement of the bolt hardware. I've never heard of such an arrange.
