Toilet Leak x2?

Hey all. I got up this morning and the water was running over the bowl and flooding the floor. Turning the water off stopped it, but the bowl was full to the rim. The bowl then slowly leaked leaving some, but no war near as much water on the floor. For comparison, the first fiasco took 7 towels while the second took only two. Are both my tank seal and the wax ring bad all at once? I've never had this scenario. What are your thoughts. TIA

If the bowl was overflowing, you have a blockage in the sewer line and a problem with the tank fill valve. As the wax ring seals the toilet bowl to the sewer line, if the water level in the bowl dropped while water flowed out under the toilet, then the wax ring is leaking.
