Tankless water heater leak

Hi im having an issue with a water leak on my natural gas tankless heater
It is leaking somewhere on the hot water side
When i shut off hot water valve underneath the leak stops
When i open up the unit i can see it leaking pretty good underneath the fan
I see a couple of drop on to of fan but thats it
Does anyone know if yjis is a diy job?
My landlord has never had it serviced since we have lived here the last 5 years
When i noticed leak a couple of days ago i was going to try run vinegar through it to try clean it out but im guessing this is more than s cleaning issue

Since you have a landlord, just report it. If you tinker and mess it up, you would be responsible for fixing/buying a new one.
