Hello,

I am putting a sleeve in a stem wall so the T&P relief valve will exit a 5' crawlspace and empty to the outside (6" above grade as per the AHJ). I am trying to do the height calculations so that the Top Mount T&P valve will allow the 3/4" copper to pass through the sleeve. Can the T&P Valve be lengthened if I get one with an 8" thermostat probe?

I just want to make sure I hit the height I need. The tank is a Low Boy Electric.

When I order the tank, I will definitely specify a Top Mount T&P!

Has anyone had to solve this problem before?

Thanks for any recommendations.

They sell t&p valves that have longer bodies to fit deep connection points maybe something you're looking for

I did see a Watts with a longer probe. Is that what you meant or are there T&P valves with longer bodies as well? They show a brass model with an 8" probe for a 3/4" copper line.

Nice. This is exactly what I was looking for!

The "Extended Shank" version created to pass through the insulation.

Thanks so much!
