Hello friendly plumbers,

I'm going to be installing a system that requires a drain located at least 5 feet from where it is installed, and the drain has to have at least a 2 L per minute capacity (1.5 inch drain pipe). I don't have a drain like this located near it, so I plan on installing a sump pump or something similar next to it. Do you guys have any good ideas as to what I should use for this i.e. what sump pump should I buy or if you have any other bright ideas please share. I suppose at its maximum output it could be as much as 2 L per minute. I plan on running the sump pump output to a 1 1/2 inch drain pipe that I will have to cut to accept it.

Thank you very much for your help.

What sort of system?
Are there goin to be anything other than water flowing from this system?
Why does the drain have to be 5' away?

Also, any system can only support the smallest or "weakest" link.. if you're tapping into an 1-1/2" line, than that's the Max output you can achieve..
