Any tips to remove this diverter valve? I only see 1 retaining clip. While applying pressure on either side of the valve I sprayed wd40 all around but I have no idea if it was able to make its way in there. I grabbed the stem with pliers and wiggled and pulled quite hard but nothing. 20230127_164218.jpg20230127_164452.jpg

If the valve is anchored solid in the wall…….pull harder.

I only see 2 brackets. 1 about 4 inches below the valve and 1 to the side. Brute force might comprimise piping.

I dont have a replacement yet and would like to bring this one to the store (no idea the brand) but can I drill out the white plastic? Will that do anything?Screenshot_20230127_182232_Gallery.jpgScreenshot_20230127_182259_Gallery.jpg

Screenshot_20230127_184157_Gallery.jpgFor anyone else with this valve, I think its a Moen 1222 and the stem needs to be in the ON position. That combined with brute force made it come out

The valve being “ on “ or “ off “ makes no difference in pulling the cartridge.

Yes it’s a moen.
