Hi All,
I bought a house which had existing gas central heating. I think the system is about 17 years old.
Some central heating radiators in the house have standard radiator valves that is they have no thermostat on them.
I turned this standard radiator valve clockwise to shut it in order to see if it helped save money but it didn't seem to so I then turned it up by opening it anti-clockwise.
However when I did this I noticed some of these radiators have leaked a small amount of water from the top of the valve. I shut those radiator valves down by turning them
clockwise and the leak stopped. Is this normal behaviour for a small amount of water to appear at the top of the standard radiator valve after opening these standard radiator valves?
