This one has me stumped. We are new to the house so not sure of what all was installed/configured prior to us.
Scenario
We have a stand-alone ice maker in our laundry room. The machine is next to the laundry sink, but the water supply is not connected to the sink supply. We have had the machine serviced and it's in good shape. The tech did say that he didn't think the machine was getting "enough water".
Issue
The machine is not getting water. This has happened before, and a plumber came out and made a change to something in the attic. That worked for a few months and now we're back to no water getting to the machine.
Question
Is it possible there is a pump or some unit that assists the water in getting all the way to the machine (probably 100+ feet from attic water heater/water line)? Is there something that I should be looking for in the attic that could possibly be broken/unplugged that would cause the machine to not be receiving enough water to make ice?
Any help or suggestions are welcome.
