That back left leg looks pretty rusty. Don't know what the other three look like. But all I can say about this is be
very careful working around these cement tubs on that frame as they have been noted as falling over if jiggled
around.

Those old concrete washtubs are popular with Yuppies and Millennials too.
I have seen some for sale for $600.00.

I broke up and tossed an old double one two years ago, when I was selling my dad’s house after he passed away.
It was 60 years old and in great shape, but would have been a hernia maker taking it up the basement stairs.

And about forty years ago, I repaired the corroded metal trap bend on that concrete sink, by wrapping it with fiberglass cloth and clear fiberglass gel.

I was afraid to unscrew the rusted trap pieces from the sink, in case the threads from the sink might be shot.
It held up perfectly without a drip or drop for forty years.

I completely understand wanting to save an old soapstone sink. They are very cool.

Have you tried contacting the people that still make these? They may have some ideas on how to adapt a modern drain to an old sink. No doubt it will involve some cutting and surgery so to speak, but in the long run, properly done, it will last another couple of generations.

This tells me you have a funnel drain. It also wants me to ask the question, are you sure it's soapstone and not concrete? There were a lot of laundry/utility sinks made in the early to mid 20th century that were concrete.

I'm not sure if the sink is soapstone or concrete but, as far as I know my sink has been in my house for
80 years. I did order the Sink Funnel Drain, the Cast Iron Collar for the Funnel Drain and the Mack Basin Washer Set from Bathroom Machineries. I have not installed them, yet.
