Soap comes out of sink strainer

I have a double compartment kitchen sink and when I use the water in one soap comes out of the other one.. The only thing I could think of is that there is a blockage somewhere after the trap...anyone ever seen this happen

does it drain ok?????is there any water backing up along with the soap????
