Hi Forum,
I keep seeing warnings not to use a long snake made for sinks and such on a toilet. (to keep from scratching it)
My 6' auger didn't clear the clog, so I thought of going down the sink drain to intercept the toilet line and go further down. Should this work?
Thanks!

Is there a way to do it without pulling the toilet?
Thanks!

If there is no cleanout available, and depending on where the clog actually is, the roof vent can be tried.

When you run the sink does it bubble or rise the water in the toilet?

Best thing to do is pull the toilet. Depending how it is piped and vented you may not even touch the obstruction from the roof. Besides, going on the roof is not the safest at all without fall protection. Pull the toilet check to see if it's holding water. If not pour water in to see if it comes up.
