My waste pipe in the wall lines up with my faucet drain. I have no room to properly attach my p trap.

What are my options? I would rather not raise the sink or lower the waste pipe inlet in the wall. I’d also prefer to not use a flex hose. Thanks!

This is a great solution, thanks!

will I have a little room to insert a short slip joint extension tube that will ultimately connect to my drain? There does not look to be much vertical drop in the low inlet P.

thanks

Yes, you’ll need to cut the tube to fit possibly.

Great, yes my extension tube will likely only be 2” or so. Just enough to make the connection. Thanks.

sink looks to be a wall hung
remove the sink from the wall. lift up
raise the flange 1 '' or 2'' then set the sink back

a level trap arm is only trouble down the road

That sink has a two hole drilling on the backsplash for an 8” wall mount faucet.
So you would have to move the water too.

What would the downsides be to leaving the sink in place and just going the lower inlet p trap route? There’s still some distance between the sink drain and trap arm from what I can tell.

It’ll drain a little slower because of the high trap arm vs a lower trap arm
It’s fine, that’s why those traps are made that I posted.

Nothing to worry about.

That sink looks to be made to sit into a cutout in a cabinet.

I don’t see how it will work hanging like that.

Also, I don’t see any supply stops, or even any room for them behind the sink.

Please explain, I am just curious.

Looks like that heavy sink (even heavier when filled with water) is designed to sit on this heavy support base pipe, with a floor mount flange, and with a trap built in.

The OP is just hanging it on the two clips that support the backsplash.

I see it coming off the wall sooner than later.

Correct that the sink. It’s hanging on a steel mounting plate that’s into two studs with 4 screws. Appreciate the concern but it’ll be good since I’m in studs. Thanks.

It is described as a wall mounted sink.

That is a poorly worded description.

It is actually designed to have all or most of the weight carried by that big cast iron pipe, down to the floor mounted flange.

The wall mount bracket gives additional support, and holds it steady in position.

That sink is not intended for residential use.

If you have little kids or pets, keep them out of your laundry room, that sink might be coming off the wall, you are taking a risk with this application.

the rough in is all wrong, that is the rough in for a pedestal sink . Laundry tub
rough in is 8 inches from the floor also it is the wrong size pipe ,

It’ll work fine connected to a 1.5” drain. I’ve installed quite a few in nice homes, older homes.

Got my red pen out.
