Good evening!
First time ever in my life that I've joined a forum!! Red letter day for me. :)
Just today, the Moen single-faucet handle area of my shower stall started leaking.
My question is this: what is the urgency of getting this fixed (besides wasting water..)?
I have been sick recently and not able to have this fixed immediately. If the water is leaking into the shower, should I be concerned that it might be leaking inside the wall? The wall is simply a divider between the toilet and the shower stall, so I still haven't yet figured out where the water turn-off is. I live in a condo and I understand that might be under the sink in my main bathroom?
If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it!
Thanks, and stay warm (I live in Minnesota....brrrr) !

If the water is leaking through the shower head/tubspout, then you are probably safe.

It isn't common, but I have seen Moen tub/shower faucets leaking from the front seal. Usually this will spill out from under the handle, and not leak back into the wall, but I can imagine how it could leak into the wall.
