Shower Drain

I have a fiberglass shower I am installing and I am not sure how to drain it. All the drains I can find need access around the 2" pole.

Do I need to take some of the cement out around the pole?

Can the shower not be set directly on the concrete?

Or are there other options?

yes you need to remove the concrete around the 2" drain pipe. Good time to cut the cap and shine a light down to make sure there is a P trap

Pour some water in it and then do what CT18 suggested.
