Hi,

I am currently in the process of remodeling my master bathroom (we originally had plumbing for a separate tub & shower). We are moving the shower to where the tub use to be and then installing a vanity where the shower was. We are no longer going to be using the plumbing for the old shower. What is best practice for capping the water lines and drain pipe?

Any advice that can be offered is appreciated. Thanks!

If the piping is galvanized pipe, remove everything completely before closing up walls and floors.
If copper, then propress or sweat caps, or threaded plugs.
"Permanent" caps is what you need. on the drain: no Jim Cap or rubber.
