Just installed a full bath in my basement. Ejector pit is installed and all works as planned. Final plumbing inspection all good except inspector wants a “high limit switch” on to ejector pump. Can anyone tell me what that is? The only high limit switch I am aware of is for temperature. I cannot find any info. Maybe he meant alarm?

What does he want the switch to do? Obviously if the liquid reaches that level there's a problem, so if it doesn't set off an alarm, what _does_ it do?

Backs up into your new bathroom and makes a mess. I'd call him but he probably wants and alarm like TWH said to let
you know the pump isn't working properly.

He miss spoke. He did mean to say high water alarm. I put an alarm on it and passed final. Thanks everyone!👍🏻
