I am a new home owner that has a newly installed septic system. I have 2-1250gl tanks; one for waste water and the 2nd for clear water runoff from 1st tank. I have read several articles regarding water usage for the tanks and I am a bit confused. Articles state not to run many appliances at the same time due to over filling the tanks (washer and dishwasher or dishwasher and showers or many loads of laundry back to back). In addition, I have read not to use Rid X in your system. I am new to this world and do not want to mess the system up. I also have 8-50' laterals that are fed off the 2nd tank. Currently there are 4 occupants in the house, possibly expanding to 5 occupants. Can someone provide some insight on this for me. What about inspections or cleanings or getting the tank sucked out every 2-3 years? Thank you in advance for your feedback.

Regulations vary widely, so I'd contact my local health department, or a reputable septic installer in the area.
