Septic riser help

I would like to add a riser to my first D-box.
The box is concrete and about 13" square. The concrete lid is the exact size of the box, so no apron around it.

Has three 4" lines on three different sides. One from septic tank, one to first leach field run, and one to the next small D-Box.

It is 28" in the ground and would like for it to be easy to inspect.

But not sure how to add a riser. Also is it best to have the riser even with the lawn, above or buried a couple inches?

remove the lid and raise the walls up using brick and mortar

put the lid back on level with the dirt

They sell risers to extend to ground level.
