good morning. I hope everybody’s having a good day so far. I have a question. I planted a white pine tree about three years ago 15 feet from the edge of our septic field before I knew anything about septic systems. As you can see in the picture the green manhole cover is where the distribution box is, and Marks the edge of the field. Is this going to be a problem in the future?Should I relocate the tree now or cut it down? Any info would be helpful. Thank you

Tree roots can extend as far as two or three times the width of the drip line, or the farthest point from the tree where foliage grows. Pine trees are not known for having invasive root systems but if the soil is dry roots will go where the water is. Most roots grow within the top foot (30 cm) of the surface.
