Hello folks,
I have a Kohler forte single handle kitchen sink. Sprayer hose is separate.
The faucet was leaking between the handle and the rest of the faucet, so I disassembled the faucet above the basin to replace the washer and o rings. I turned off the hot and cold water valves, replaced the o rings, reassembled everything, and now the leak is gone.
But, now the hot water does not work. Cold water runs fine. I suspect a problem with the supply line (mineral buildup?) or with the hot water valve.
I disconnected the supply line from the hot water valve, and there appears to be flow. The other end of the supply line is impossible to access- it is behind a plate.
I am planning to call Kohler and find out if the supply line is stamped permanently into the top of the faucet or if it can be removed.
It is very difficult to work under this sink with the way the garbage disposal is situated.
Any ideas or similar stories?
