Cartridge was replaced in my delta 1400 now the shower doesn't turn off at all . Started was dripping now with new cartridge am I doing something wrong. I have tried 2 new cartridge

Was it a moen, or delta cartridge? They're not interchangeable.

Delta 1400s are really straight forward to replace. So long as the valve body is clean and smooth inside, there shouldn't be a problem. Can you see any damage inside there?

Betadog, please write your post again, it is very hard to follow and understand.

And post some pics of your trim and also the valve with the trim ring removed.

Are you saying you put a Moen Cartridge in a Delta valve? As others have said, that doesn't fly. You need to find the cartridge specific to the Delta 1400.
Or did you mistakenly put Moen in the title when you meant Delta?

I figured it out. Delta changed there cartridges for the 1400 series in 2005.

I was buying the cartridge made by moen for delta series 1400 pre 2005.

This makes no sense to me.
Maybe it’s just me?
Maybe you are thinking of Danco knockoff parts for Delta?
