hi, newbie in installing new showers. My handheld shower head is attached to the wall like this. I need to remove this to add a standard shower attachment. I have loosed the seal around this but it still won’t budge. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I've never seen such a contraption. I will be paying attention for a cure to your problem.

Leave it and use it. Removing it and replacing it with the traditional bent chrome pipe can be a bit of work, being inside the wall and all.

Simply insert a long steel whatever, long heavy screwdriver or what fits, and unscrew.
That is how it was installed.
