Definitely, then, Uponor has had a problem with this batch.
I am recommending that the homeowner submit a full house repipe quote.

I'l stick to CPVC, never had a problem with that!

A plumber that came to my house recently said that, after about four years, CPVC can become brittle. Not that any of mine is being moved or bent to any degree other than the movement caused by expansion when heated, but is this true or was he just trying to scare me?

I would never pipe my house with cpvc. It’s that bad in my opinion.

After my divorce I had to "buy cheap" and my place, a town house, was about as cheap as they come here in Northern Virginia. I'd rather have copper but it is what it is.
