UPDATE from Uponor: "Our lab confirmed that the issue is related to a manufacturing component. Once we receive your leak repair expenses we will review them and provide resolution to your claim. "

Definitely, then, Uponor has had a problem with this batch.
I am recommending that the homeowner submit a full house repipe quote.

I'l stick to CPVC, never had a problem with that!
A plumber that came to my house recently said that, after about four years, CPVC can become brittle. Not that any of mine is being moved or bent to any degree other than the movement caused by expansion when heated, but is this true or was he just trying to scare me?

I would never pipe my house with cpvc. It’s that bad in my opinion.

I am assuming that Uponor honor their guarantee and repipe the whole house. , and if so this it just goes to show what a reliable company and product uponor sells. Please keep us informed .

Yes, I will want to see how this plays out with how much of a complete repipe they cover.
