Greetings. We have specified a bathroom faucet for a project we are working on. This faucet also comes with various push button drains to select from. Half of them have integrated overflow holes and half don't. I've seen overflow holes on a basin but I'm not familiar their benefits or disadvantages to having them integrated with the push button drain. Can someone help my understand their function and whether they're typically worth specifying? Thanks in advance!

Does the sink your using have an overflow
If so you need a tailpeice with overflow holes

It does. This is probably a stupid question, but are the drain plugs w/ the overflow specifically designed for sinks that don't have them?

Oh, sorry. I should have read your question more thoroughly. What you're saying is that the sinks that DO have overflow need to also have the overflow on the drain plug?
