Hello,

I have dug up my old basement floor drain and trap due to a constant battle with clogs and not being able to get a large snake down to auger it out.

I plan on installing the following:

1. A new floor drain with plug (only for emergencies)
2. A connection for a utility tub (washing machine empties into tub)
3. A trap
4. A cleanout

However, I am not sure on the proper way to design/setup my plumbing to incorporate these things. I will be using a fernco to connect new pvc to the clay tile. House was built in the 1940s.

I'm starting from scratch amd want to do it right. Any assistance would be great.
