Remove the valve handles on the center and also either hot or cold valve.
Post good close up pics of how they look from several angles, including straight on.
And not from ten feet away, in dim lighting.
There are likely to be replacement handles available.
You can change the valve stems, but the new ones will likely have the exact same shape as the old ones.
You might want or need to also replace the round metal trims behind the plastic handles.
Sometimes new handles and trims come as a set.
