Going to New Mexico with a friend tomorrow to look at an acreage with no house just a few outbuildings and a pole barn. It has a cement floor. He is going to use this as a winter get away and wants to put an apartment in the pole barn. What's the best way to do the plumbing? Cut up the floor or maybe a lift station for everything. This place does have electricity and water available (for livestock) but no septic system. Or should he just get a modular home or trailer and use insulated skirting? Any ideas? According to the realtor, the temp gets to zero about 5 days during the winter.
