    Hi all

Soon the forum will be going to XenForo software. It is more secure and has more features for you.

There should not be any downtime. There may be a few tweaks after transfer, but not too many.

Transferred. Put any questions or comments. And I did get some additional smileys. I have a few more planned.

Hey Angie, I wasn't sure where to put this, but the new format seems to support more creative use of coding. I was wondering if tooltip OnMouseOver would be enabled in some posts/threads. For instance, say I want to add something to the glossary/terminology section so that when someone mouses over the word/phrase a small window with an image of the item becomes visible.

Although, maybe not in the glossary section, but maybe if there was a master thread of plumbing fittings/parts that had pictures as reference for people who don't know what things look like and they want to know what is being described/referenced.
I've figured out how to get words to appear in a small box, but I haven't yet played around with seeing if images can show up-- I suspect it can be done though.
    What do you think?

If that doesn't work, maybe we can add a thread that shows the images inline next to or below the terms. I still know people who don't know the difference between a sanitary tee and a wye.

Cute smileys. I may have some more-- after I browse through to see that they aren't already here. LOL.

Is there anyway to high light the post that I haven't seen yet. They are all the same color, dark blue. Before the ones that I looked at were a lighter color and the dark ones were ones that I haven't seen yet.

    Thanks, Tom.....

Hi Tom, what is even better is to simply click on the "new posts" tab, and see all the new threads in here. A little hint, if you are waiting for a response from a member on a thread, select the "watch thread" tab.

@Zanne , I'll have to look into that. Sounds interesting.

Tom, there should be a difference in color on each thread.

    Havasu's suggestion is good also.

Hi Angie, mine is staying all blue. I have no idea if I read something or not. Is there anything I
    can do to fix this.

What happens when you hit the refresh tab on your computer Tom?

I went to the general plumbing forum and all the posts are dark blue. I refreshed like you said and
nothing changed. Is there anyway you can get on my part to see what it looks like.

Tom, I did a test account, so it makes my account with settings such as your account. In it, I could see the two different blues, but I'll be testing further for you in an hour or two.

OK Tom. I went to the general plumbing section, and as you can see in the first picture, there are two sections that are in bold, which means I have not looked at the two threads. pf1.png

I then went back in, selected the top thread, hit the back arrow, and upon refreshing, there is now only one thread that is the darker blue.

Tom, I also went into your settings. I eliminated the sidebar, eliminated the ads, and got rid of the pesky "NULL" on your signature, and flipped the switch to show you as a professional. I saw nothing to help you see the bold lettering, but my recommendation is you peruse the forum, THEN hit the "Mark Forums Read", and it will clear all unread threads, so when you come back in, anything you see will be new material.

Lastly, if you would like, give me a small picture and I will insert it into your avatar picture section for you, since I dislike question marks.

    Hi Tom,

Firefox will cache pages so if you go forward to a post and then back to the forum, and then click a new post it doesn't (for me) change the previous one to lighter color. It does if I refresh (F5). Maybe this is what you're seeing?

I wish I knew how to send what I am seeing here like havasu did. I tried bringing up the plg forum and clicking on it and then f5 refresh nothing
happens. I feel like some of these guys that write in about a plumbing problem and having no idea how to fix it. Lol

I use the "print screen" tab on my keyboard. I then paste using my "paint" program, saving it a file, then uploading it here.

I believe the app is a thing of the past, but need to confirm this. I use my smartphone to access this site, and use the full version. It works better than any other tapatalk crap.
