Hello,
We purchased a foreclosed home, and the home is very unique. Apparently, the original owners were commercial builders, so many things about this home are built as a commercial building. But we have run into several problems, and one of them are the 3 bathroom sinks. This home was built around 1979, and the parts are quite outdated. Each of the faucets in question have giant brass fixtures behind the wall that the faucet and handles thread into, but the problem i have run into is that these units sit behind a tile wall, and i do not have access from the opposite side as well without major problems. We would like to update the exterior fixtures of the units to something more modern, but most of all, 1 of the faucets no longer works, and the other would not shut off, when i inspected the unit, the internals for one of the handles was broken. Unfortunately, the units did not have shut offs, so i spent most of my day in a crawl space installing shut offs and we are now down to one sink with 3 daughters using that bathroom. I have included several photos of the valves themselves, a complete faucet with the hardware that looks like it belongs in my barn, and one looking through the small hole in the tile towards the brass fixture behind. i have checked every plumbing supply around, no one knows what the units are, no one has the parts we need, and 1 place told me that he thought maybe it was an old commercial kohler unit, but he wasn't sure and had no clue where to look next. So i figured one of these forums might be my best option. Please help as we have been down a sink for nearly a year.
Thank you,
Joe
