Pex cinch clamps fail.

For the second time in three years the cinch clamps on my hot water side of my water heater are failing. It looks like they are corroding through, although the connections are not wet. I have enclosed pictures.
Any ideas?

They may have been cinched too tight upon install.

Friend of mine just told me that there was some of those stainless clamps from China that were failing. I have no idea.

Stick with a reputable brand. Change to copper crimp rings and bronze fittings or stainless. Some people like plastic fittings.

Thank you all for your rapid answers. Yes inferior stainless steel from around the world could very well be the problem. That’s one of the problems that we face in this country lower price equals lower quality.
