I am replacing a 60 year old Kohler tub that has a 2 inch drain. No crossarms, just two opposed nubs on the inside face. This is too large for the normal 1.5 inch tools, and I have had no luck trying to use prybars and similar to get it to break loose.

Any ideas? Are there are tools still available that fit this old drain size?

Are you intending to just change out the drain, or is the whole tub coming out?

If you are changing the whole tub, just go underneath and cut out the drain, it is 60 years old also.

The tub is coming out, but cutting the drain pipe out may be a bit more difficult, as it's cast iron. I'm out of my element with that stuff.
