We replaced our water line from the meter ( in the alley ) to under the house .
Old line was 3/4" copper , which went under a concrete patio , old flower bed , utility room ( with concrete floor ) , until it came under the foundation / footing .
Could not get under that . I went straight , from north to south until I got to the patio . Jogged a few feet east , turned under another side walk , continued south until I came to the foundation .
Another few feet east to where I drilled through the foundation , as low as I could get . Came out under the house ( pier and beam ) . I had soldered in a T and a 3/4" ball valve , to the existing 3/4" copper cold water line .
I cut and capped off the old water line , where it came out from under the foundation / ground .
I rented a Kabouta mini excavator from Home Depot . Used it to dig the ditch . And again to fill in the ditch .
I ran 1" PEX with a brass barbed fitting at the water meter and at the ball valve ( under the house ) .
So far , no water likes .
Praise the Lord !
I wish to express my thanks to my Wifey for her help , all during the whole process .
God bless
