Judging from @matt.mena šŸ˜Ž last post this may be his question!

50's era Cape - total gut and rehab. Slab on grade, water, soil and (heating) ducts under slab. Looking to do some reconfiguration to bring up to 2020's standards.

Need to move main stack/soil & water and WC about 12" into the adjacent room (kitchen), see pics. Needs a new roof and am adding a dormer so we have options on venting. No idea which direction the soil pipe heads from where it is now but the street is to the left of the bathroom pics.

Side note: need to sneak in a 1/2 bath somewhere...

First steps??

Iā€™m not great at answering questions but thatā€™s the same remodel situation Iā€™m in.

- Find the best sanitary connection point from your fixtures and spray paint a piping layout.

Make a layout of your piping plan and remove the concrete.

In my case the duct work is 6ā€ cardboard tubing imbedded in concrete poured before the slab was poured. Repairing, 6ā€ metal round duck fit perfectly. It took a lot of effort to jack hammer and remove all that concrete.

If you go through a footer be sure to water seal your penetration.
