I am not new to plumbing, but need gas code advice. I have a fireplace that was converted to gas and it works great. In my basement I want to add a 1/2" tee to the fireplace CSST line and run a new 1/2" CSST line (about 10-12') through my basement sill plate to my rear patio for a natural gas grill connection. I have tentatively planned to use 1/2" CSST to the sill plate, a protective sleeve through the brick veneer and terminate outside with 1/2" black pipe painted with appropriate paint.
My plan leaves me with the question of how close to the patio slab my line can come through the wall. I am estimating that it would punch through about 4" above the slab.
