Hi All,

I recently installed a 10” stainless under mount sink w/ Granite countertop. Existing drain pipe with trap is about 3” below output from sink. Also, the sink drain is about an inch offset to the right from the trap connection. On top of that I need to fit the tailpiece with T for dishwasher drain connection. Any ideas on how to modify the existing to accommodate the minimal vertical distance and the drain offset (Picture Below)?

Was thinking about cutting out the old trap and putting two 22 1/2s angles on the drain pipe from wall to fix the offset issue, but not sure if code allows this.

Please offer any assistance.

cut the pipe that is coming out of the wall
[you need 1 1/2'' of usable pipe]
after you cut the pipe, throw that old junk away
buy .........pictures showing abs,,you need pvc

slip into that

you may have to cut it to fit
install on that

IF,,,the distance between the trap and the wye branch tail piece is to long
buy a 6'' extension and install,,,,,if not you are good to go

post back with a picture of finished project

oh....you are aware that the hose from dishwasher must loop up and tie off to the bottom of the counter top..right? i generally use a piece of wire tied off to a sink clip
