Need help Id'ing shower faucet handles

Hi, this is a very old house. Can't figure out how to remove this. It seems like one long piece that turns on the water. It stops spinning at some point and not sure how to get it out. Thanks! 15953592150743455505325741224151.jpg
 
Likely the tile cuts do not reveal enough for you to see.
All faucets utilize stems that are removeable, typically with a deep socket tool.
Us plumbers carry a whole array of different sized deep sockets designed for this purpose.
 
Looks like you will be calling a plumber, and maybe just getting a whole new valve, that looks ancient.
 
you maybe able to find parts i worked on and found parts for a valve just like that thats a porcalian escusion those are very hard to find stems can be found at a supply house that deals in old stuff
