I'm trying to add a cloth diaper sprayer to our toilet line and am having trouble finding a new flexible pipe to replace the rigid pipe. The valve and the pipe are not the normal compression style. I would rather just find the right pipe than replace the whole valve, which works fine as is. Any help would be appreciated. A trip to Home Depot and a discussion with the specialist turned up nothing helpful.

The reason you can't find anything at HD is that this is not a standard toilet bowl shutoff valve. Seems to be nicely made, but the cost cutting in the home remodeling and building industry has led to dominant use of 1/2" x 3/8" valves, using flex hose to reach the toilet tank. (Can't stand flex hose, and can't find too many plumbers who can even bend copper tubing anymore). Your copper tubing looks like 3/8" that is either flared or attached to the nut by compression fit. Anyway, to connect a sprayhose to the line may require a 1/2" x 3/8 x 1/4 IPS valve. Such a beast may not even exist. Unfortunately, HD and Lowes do not sell such an item. This is what you're left with:

This is a Sharkbite, but Watts may make something in a traditional form factor. Both outgoing connections are 3/8, so you have to find an adapter to bring it down to the size of one end of your sprayhose. Best bet is to visit a real plumbing house.

What you did was unthreaded a portion of the shutoff valve. Put a wrench on each and turn counter clockwise. 3/8 nut will unthread and your good to go.

Bbp: thank you very much, you are correct! Much appreciated everyone, including Aloha Mark's rant against Home Depot!
