Had a sprinkler T connect leak from the street toward the house. Since the sprinkler aren't working anyways, I would like to remove it and just connect the existing line to the copper line to the house. Problem is, I can't seem to locate an appropriate connector any where.
Here is the original setup with the leak

I spoke to a couple of plumbers while searching for the parts and they don't think that particular connector should have been used in the first place. For sure the hose clamp around the cooper up-pipe is wrong.

The parts recommended by the plumbing specialty store: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1VP_6WZCkOAfcu9PK_k4HH21SAdfU7diR and https://drive.google.com/open?id=1D8zUSv76_qO-TMZb4aO0b3BFNzRMh3HX

Unfortunately, after returning home, I realized the size of the adapter they sold me would not fit the current pipe: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1gzvUOXXvxOrbAUpPdAnwQBjHUFuIwINU

The incoming plastic (polyethylene?) pipe has an outer diameter of 1.08" 27.4mm which is slightly larger than similar pipes 26.5mm 1.04". What is the name of this size of pipe of the incoming line, and what would I need to connect that to the copper line to the house?
