My downstairs bathroom drywall was wet, I live in a condo & it was a common wall. I could hear the neighbors toilet running, it stopped when he turned his toilet off. He replaced the inner parts on his toilet and no more noise. The wall was removed and now there is no water leaking. Is it possible it was his toilet?

Another note is that my trap in the shower was dry and I could hear a noise anytime a sink was used or toilet flushed. I ran water and the noise stopped. Could this have anything to do with it? We never use that shower and there’s also an odd pipe next to the drain, any idea what it’s for?

Let me know your thoughts and thank you in advance!72E92BC8-104F-4FA5-B5B4-F6903CC6F840.jpeg

the open pipe cold be a cleanout????

you were hearing the drain thru the dry trap.....
that must have water in it or its gonna smell run water in it once or twice a week....
if your neighbors toilet ws running i could have condensated and got into the wall
