I want to make my own manometer but I want to use a gauge instead of the tube filled with water, does any one know how?

gonna be difficult because a manometer measures inches of Water column and as you know a foot of water exerts a pressure of only .433 psi. ( .0361 psi per inch ) So basically you are looking for a VERY precise guage, which Is why manometers are digital if not using the water tube method. Water tube is easyest and cheapest and Also more reliablle and arguablly more acurate.

There are gas pressure test gauges available that measure inches of water column as well. I've bought several from Ferguson at about 50 bucks each. Very accurate and they work great! I've calibrated them against my digital manometer without any issues. Don't waste your money on a digital one.
