Greetings to all from Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies.
My name is Luke and I'm glad to be part of the community.
The standard floating-ball valve for a water storage tank is inside the tank and accessing it to replace parts (to fix overflowing) is a challenge for many would-be DIYers.
I've seen too many instances of water being wasted for want of an easier fix. Outdoor storage tanks mostly have a cone-shaped top with a lockable plastic cover, so that getting the ball and valve out for repair requires some work.
Is there another type of low-cost, shut-off mechanism for a water storage tank that is easier to repair?
Thanks.
