leaking shower

I have a Price Pfister single hand shower. When you turn the shower off after 5 minutes it drips from the shower head and then it stops. After 5 minutes it drips again. I replaced the cartridge and the other inner part (not sure what it's called) and the shower is still dripping. I used the old washers on the new inner part because the new one did not come with any.What could be happening? Is it the old washers or do I need to replace the whole unit? I hope not!! Any help would be appreciated.

Washers are what make a water tight connection. So reusing old washers is not recommended

we have a hand held shower it will drip ever once and a while but stops in our case its just the water in the hose.....try hangig the hose down for a bit then hag it back up and see what happens
