Installed hammer-resters in the basement, but still have the sound when water is turned on/off elsewhere in the home. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

When your pipes get hot, the copper will expand, then contract when cooling. The way the plumbing is resting against the wood, copper pipes in contact with other copper pipes, the incorrect type of strapping, the non-existent support for the valve, you are bound to get lots of noise when using this shower. Is this wall still opened up, or has it been sealed with drywall already?

Thank you. The pipes are still accessible.

Let’s try more like 60psi… Excuse that calculation.

Adding a shower wouldn’t cause your issue.
Maybe a pipe strap came off the pipe somewhere.

If you have a crawlspace make sure all the piping is secure.
