We have a double kitchen sink with an AAV (after the U) that has recently started to drain very slowly. I figured it was time to replace my AAV (I had to do this shortly after we moved in 2010). On a hunch I decided to try draining with AAV removed just to verify that it was the problem. The sink was still not draining very well at all. So I opened up the U and it was completely clear. I tried draining again with the AAV out and water actually started to back up out the end the AAV would have been installed on. I figured this means I have a blockage further down the line so I tried my 25' snake and didn't really have any luck.

Am I on the right track? Do I need to call in a plumber with a longer power snake? Help is greatly appreciated thanks. :)
