A friend of mine asked me to install a water heater for him today. I’ve put dozens of regular ones in before but never a power vent which is what this is. I’ve worked with PVC so that is no problem so other than hooking up the PVC vent to the exterior vent is there any other deal I have to be cautious of when doing this? Tks.

Make sure you check linear footage and what the manufacturer allows. Too many feet of venting and the water heater will shut down. Remember every 90 = 5ft every 45 = 2.5 feet. Use solid core pvc and not foam core. Cannot use extension cord to plug in. Must have an outlet close by. Stay away from AO Smith power vent. I've always found them to have problems all around.
