Installing plastic Push and Seal drain with P-trap?

Ok, thanks! I didn't see any pipe dope at the local hardware store, but they were about to close when I was there. I'll have to go back another time and look again.

Btw, what do you call the metal strap thingies to hold the pipes up? I tried looking it up under plumber's tape and it only came up with the stuff I should chuck at squirrels.

I think I remembered the name for the straps earlier but I forgot before I could get to my computer and I'm blanking on it now.

I tried "plumbing ties" and came up with this:
