Installing a longer bathtub without relocating the P-trap

Hello experts,

I am planning to install a 5.5' or 6' tub in place of a standard 5' one. The problem is that I am afraid I won't be able to move the P-trap to where it would have to be for a longer tub as there is a beam in the way. So, I was wondering if it is allowed for the overflow pipe to bend under the tub as shown below?
