Hi all,
I had a soapstone sink made for me, and am happy with it overall, but the issue has been that the bottom of the sink is thicker than normal sinks - maybe about 3/4" - 1" thick? - and I've had to flip the screw on portion that holds the bottom of the drain to the bottom of the sink upside down since there's just a very small bit of threading that pokes through on the bottom.
I'm using plumber's putty to waterproof the top drain, which adds some (maybe unnecessary?) thickness to the top - the rubber washer was a no go due to its thickness. Maybe I could silicone and gain a 1/16"?
Or, Ideally, Is there a product that accommodates such scenarios - an extra deep threaded drain?
thanks
